Your Body Knows the Holidays Are Coming — Here’s How to Reset Now🤎

Before you hang a single string of lights… before your calendar fills with parties, travel, shopping, and Aunt Linda’s “So when are you having kids?” interrogation…

Your body already knows what season is coming.

It starts quietly.

A little jaw tension.

Shorter breaths.

Patience suddenly paper-thin.

You wake up already bracing — as if your body spent the night preparing for impact.

This isn’t you being dramatic.

It’s nervous-system math.

Your fascia + biology are whispering:

“Hey… something’s coming. Can we slow down first?”

Let’s talk about it — honestly + practically.

Why the holidays already feel like… a lot 😮‍💨

We love the idea of cozy sweaters + hot drinks…

But real life hits a little different:

• Travel

• Disrupted sleep

• More sugar & alcohol

• Social pressure

• Family dynamics

• Overspending

• Overscheduling

Even the anticipation of all that pressures your system.

Your nervous system looks ahead and goes:

“Better stay alert… just in case.”

So before you’ve even packed a suitcase, your body is already simmering.

Leave that unchecked and suddenly:

• Headaches

• Tension

• Shallow breath

• Gut flares

• Irritability

• Random pain

Nothing is “wrong” with you.

Your body is responding to your environment exactly how it’s designed to —

protect you.

But you don’t have to stay there.

Fascia remembers everything 🧬

Fascia is that friend who remembers everything — even the things you wish it didn’t.

It:

• Holds tension

• Stores emotional charge

• Reacts before your mind knows what’s wrong

When your mind feels pressure → fascia tightens.

When fascia softens → your nervous system finally exhales.

It’s a loop.

One influences the other.

That’s why you can talk about stress for an hour…

but 10 minutes of breath + bodywork can shift you in a way words can’t.

Your body keeps the score —

but it also knows how to help you rewrite it.

5 Nervous-System Resets You Can Do in 10 Minutes ⬇️

Real tools.

For real life.

No retreats. No 3-hour routines.

Just simple nervous-system support you can actually use.

Pick one — or the same one every day.

1) Wave Breath 🌊

Inhale: belly → ribs → chest

Exhale: chest → ribs → belly

Ride the wave for 2–4 minutes.

Why it helps:

It mobilizes the diaphragm + taps your parasympathetic system (aka the “we’re good” setting).

2) Foot + Jaw Release 👣😮‍💨

Roll under the foot 60–90 sec.

Gently release jaw tension.

These are powerful fascial hubs — soften them, and the whole body follows.

3) Box Breathing + Hum 📦🎶

Inhale 4, Hold 4, Exhale 4, Hold 4

Add a hum on the exhale → vagus nerve heaven.

4) Hand-to-Heart + Belly 🤲

Right hand → heart

Left hand → belly

Slow breath. Feel movement.

Touch = safety. Safety = regulation.

5) Cold Rinse / Face Dunk 🧊

30–60 seconds cold water on face/neck

or short cold rinse in the shower

This activates the dive reflex → lowers heart rate + grounds you fast.

When DIY isn’t enough 🤎

There’s self-regulation…

and then there’s being guided, held, supported, seen.

Sometimes the body needs more than a stretch in your kitchen.

It needs a safe container —

somewhere the guard can finally drop.

That’s where bodywork + breathwork come in.

They help you:

• Release what’s stuck

• Reconnect to what’s been offline

• Come home to yourself

You don’t have to earn support.

You just have to choose it.

Ready to reset before things get loud? ✨

If your system is whispering for a reset… I’ve got you.
